A Valan elf high priestess in the order of the balance: An order which has sworn to guard the world from an ancient god, while using his powers to stop anyone from releasing him.
She is young and somewhat naïve but powerful, and after her initiation as high priestess, she is sent on an important mission to contact the other gods and ask for their aid to stop the ancient god from awakening.

Her mission takes her from her familiar home in the temple, out through Anthar forest and into the Free Kingdoms. While traveling, she meets people from both sides of the border who show her that the world and the people in it are more complex than she was previously led to believe.
